Slightly late update because I had a dramatic pet problem this week, but it's all fixed now! So enjoy Ivy and Abel!

@Slayah: Hey man, if I got leered at without consent I'd set people on fire too.

I like how calm Ivy is in this situation. She the only one who doesn't seem like a... Hothead...

Ehhh. I must say I've never been fond of the whole thing about unjustified responses to accidental indiscretions. And it seems to be a thing lots of authors fall back on for some reason. Eh.

Wow, she's a real firebrand. A very heated response to a hot topic. Her burning passions have seemed to nearly bring Abel to tears. She's playing with fire though, and we wouldn't want to let it get out of hand. It's too bad the lake couldn't extinguish the flames of her rage. (Okay, I'm going to stop now.)

@Slayah: It does seem an unreasonable response.. but then, part of the reason she's amongst mortals now is to learn how to live among them. I suspect she's only really got the gods reactions to things (for petes sake, her dad's head goes fwoosh when he's agitated). I believe that there is a legitimate call for simply "not knowing better", particularly in regards to the notion that setting people on fire is just socially unacceptable among the mortal folk.

@ParadoxComic I just meant that Nia obviously understands the sexual implications of nudity and is placing the blame on someone for reacting to her stripping in front of him. I'd say it's mostly her fault for not checking surroundings (which you pointed out in a previous comic that she didn't). Unless there was more offscreen hitting on after Nia rerobed I think it's still an unjustified response. Akamar raises a good point though, that lack of emotional control is part of the comic's premise.

@Slayah: It can feel deeply invasive to be leered at like that. And she didn't grow up in a culture that taught her that deeply invasive feeling was just something she had to live with. I'm not saying anything on whether or not it's Abel's fault, or any of that stuff. But that's how it would seem from her perspective.

Hah! TOTALLY her fault, just what she gets for so studiously not paying attention. Seriously, he was right next to her.

Offhand, I'd say he's getting off lightly. I mean, this scenario COULD involve getting turned into a stag and run down by a pack of hounds. Just sayin'.

Haha "I didn't do anything" sometimes is what you hear from people used to getting into trouble :)

okay, yes nia didn't check her surroundings first, but Abel could have done the nice thing and looked away and informed her he was there instead of starring and saying 'awesome'. i see no fault, especially given the environment she grew up in, with nia's reaction.

Nia has already demonstrated that she's not bothered by nudity, so it's not the fact that Abel saw her naked, it was the way he reacted that pissed her off. I know Abel was there first, and it's not his fault that Nia stripped off in front of him, but if he'd just said 'hello' casually, without staring creepily at her body, she probably wouldn't have gotten mad at him.
